On February 8, 2024,, Michael Daugherty filed for Precinct Committeeman and State Delegate. As we look at the local Republican party, it may be time for someone to come in and shake it up. The failure of the Republican Party Chair to defeat Democrats in any of the contested City Council races and the Mayors race all point towards change, starting with the chair.

We were told that current chair, Mike Duckworth, was in attendance at the inauguration of Mayor Stephanie Terry. Does this show a shift in the “RINO” democrats to true Conservatives with what Michael Daugherty was able to rally in 2023? We will see.
